Driver side headlight issue
Driver side headlight issue
New here. I have an 04 g35 coupe. Recently my driver side headlight went out. I bought a new bulb replaced it and it worked fine for a few days. I noticed that the light went out again. Is there an issue that im not seeing here? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Here are a couple of possibilities that I can think of,
- The bulb you bought is faulty
- You may have accidentally touched the bulb with your bare hands and the oils from your fingers have contaminated the bulb causing it to have a short life.
- Your ballast for the HID bulb is malfunctioning and may be putting out too much voltage or amperage and is burning out the bulb.
That last option is unlikely so I would try putting a new bulb in and be very careful to not touch the glass part of the bulb while doing it.

Check and make sure your ballast isnt coming loose/falling off when driving (all the bumps/vibrations can cause this). Just happened to me. Soon as I unscrewed the headlight cap my ballast was just hanging there.
