Any Cons on a 2006 G35 Coupe?

Hey. Are there any cons to the 06' G35 Coupe? Pros? Please list them as that would be very good information to know. I also have a question about double din kits and the double din itself.. which is better? The Metra kit or the JDM kit and how much would both cost me? About the double din itself, there are several different named brands out there but am unsure which would suit me better.. is Pioneer good? i am looking for a good double din with bluetooth/aux input. All answers are greatly appreciated!

I have an 06 and it's great man. Revised head and tail lights and interior from the previous years. As far as double din kit I don't have one but most members can't seem to find them for sale from vendors and members are selling them for 450-500 because of their scarcity. Pioneer has been around for a long time and they are a great brand yet I don't know first hand

I have an 06 as well and I love it, looks much better than the 03-05 in every way, inside and out. Only thing to be wary about is the oil consumption issue which plagues the manual transmission models more, but auto models have it to an extent too. Don't settle for the Metra kit. Get the authentic JDM kit, it looks 100x better than the cheap Metra kit. Pioneer is a good brand, can't go wrong there. Other makes to look at are Kenwood, Alpine, Sony, JVC, etc... Google is your best friend.

Def go with an 06. The projector lights are worth it alone. The interior is nicer too. If you are keeping the car for a long time do not skimp on your DD. Def get the JDM one. I have a Kenwood and have been really happy with it. It has a plug/port for a backup camera (also by Kenwood if you like) and nice USB flash drive port and iphone port. The only thing I do not like about my particular model is the Iphone cable plugs into the front and it looks like azz and gets in the way. If I get another DD, I will make sure it plugs into the back so I can hide the cable in the glove or center console.

Gary, cost of JDM kit is approaching 400+ with the current scarcity and summer rush. It's 300 less to go with metra.

Cons are window motors/regulator lifespan and compression rod bushings and rear subframe bushings only last about 50-60k. And change trans fluid every 30k to keep those soft synchros healthy(if it's a 6mt) everything else is good

O yea. Have to change clutch fluid pretty much every year if you live in a climate that goes from freezing to 90s throughout the year, or the pedal sticks to the floor I the heat

No brembo, ugly spoiler, ugly tails, they attract uglier women, pretty much everything but the headlights. Haha

Hater^ spoiler look better, not to mention the built in 3rd light. Tails are sharper and refined and not boring like the 03-05. Interior is refined. Sport bumper looks better. Do Wish it had brembos tho

As if! Haha spoiler does not look better. The ironing board first gen spoiler makes the body look super wide. Gives it a big ol butt. 06 spoiler looks like its clenching its cheeks. My 04 has built in 3rd light.

I don't like the later taillights at all. I do like the reverse light better, rather than the big circle, but the flat lights look cleaner to me.

oh crap guess I never noticed the 3rd light in the 1st gen spoiler cus it's so UGLY! I've always thought it's the most non functional looking spoiler on any car that exists lol. I like clenched cheeks. I think they redid the tails to make them look a little more reminiscent to uncle gtr with the 2 circular concaves on them. And ya the reverse lights are wayy better
