where do i start my build...

I got a 05 G 5a/m automatic slapshift i feel like its the rev up. The motor is the vq35de ive read that the 05 years were only rev in manual but clearly this motor does some sort of rev up in the gearing the car is clean where do i start my build..

I mean from motor, all the way to suspension whats the best to go whats the route to go.
If i were do do full over haul and motor work cams, the whole nine yards would it be worth it for money cost when i do this build i wanna use a twin turbo system. i want a fun track car but also street car at the same time. id like to reach around 500whp safely with the 5at set up would I have to enforce the transmission? would the blocks be able to hold that power with the twin turbo set up? this is my first build im still learning as i go.. please dont insult me if i dont know what im talking about lol.

you feel wrong.
you dont have a revup.
think you should search a bit more on everything before we worry about a build...

You are going to need about 20k to reach your goals.

You should never go into any major investment with as little knowledge as you have. Please search the FI section, read up on others builds to see what is possible with VQ and what it takes. Inform yourself before asking open ended questions like where do I start. Figure out your goals, research those goals, then come back and ask specific questions to fill in holes in your knowledge.

3 Nos stickers, 1 Type R sticker, 2 Nismo Stickers and one can of redbull. That is where you should start and make sure to monitor that oil consumption since you have a revup.

If your saying you put the car in neutral, rev and then shift into drive while the revs are up, you will destroy the transmission very very soon.

I'm just guessing here (cuz what you're saying doesn't make sense), but are you talking about when you get the pedal close to the floor and it starts revving real high? Cuz that's just how autos downshift..

Edit: nvm, I just reread it and I have no clue.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
OP I believe you are talking about rev-matching. Do a search through the forum for more info on the concept or just Google it.

^^^What urban said, you are going to blow up your transmission. You should never rev an automatic in neutral and dump it in another gear. I knew some dumb****** that have. Asta La vista transmission
