Somebody please help me.

*Sorry if this is not the right place to post this, im not very familiar with the forum yet

So my RPM's have been acting very weird. Everytime I give it gas and the let go of the pedal, the RPM's just drop down so fast. Like they always go back down to 1000 RPM's and just hover around there. I have a video of it :

At 17 seconds, you can see how the RPM's drop when I let go of the pedal.

And when I start the car in to morning, the RPM's would go up to about 2250 and then just drop down to 1000 RPM's after about a second. Like really ? On a cold start ?

Also, when I floor the car, the RPM's would just go all the way up but the car does not react until about 2 seconds later. No, I do not drive it like I stole it, I only did it to test the throttle response. But yea. I have idea what the problem is with the RPM's, and I would really appreciate it if somebody could let me know how I can resolve this issue. I don't want to take it to Infiniti or a mechanic because they charge so much $$$.

Car is a 2006 5AT G35 Coupe.

Thanks for the help guys.

Can somebody just tell me how to fix the problem ? I need people to tell me to "sell the car" or "you should've bought a .... ".

It sounds like a transmission issue. Check the fluid level and color/odor of the transmission fluid. If it is dark and smells burned, do a transmission flush and refill. If this doesn't do it, you may have worn clutch discs in the tranny, which could require a rebuilt. I am not a transmission expert by any means, so you may have to take it to a reputable transmission shop in your area for a diagnostic check.

Here is another video of it. This is my first time starting it in about roughly 2 days. You can see how the RPM's drop slowly after the start up. Its definitely not normal.

This is what I meant. I was just being more succinct. It sounds like worn clutch discs. I would take it to a non dealer tranny joint.

Haha
