Tire sizes on an 03' G35

My 03' G35 comes with stock
225/50/17 in the front and
235/50/17 in the back. Is there a tire size that I can get all four the same size? Or do I have to keep it 2 different sizes?

Just do em all 235/50 or all 225/50. It looks kinda dumb, but I'm assuming you're wanting to rotate your tires..?

The best solution for even tire wear is to just get a camber kit. Rotating doesn't really add much extra life to the tires anyway unless you have toe issues. My fronts and backs seems to wear pretty evenly. I mean tires on our cars only last 15-40k miles depending on hardness of compound and driving style.

I would just get a camber kit and keep them staggered.

What? The word "Assume" should be stricken from the dictionary and never used by man kind! If he has OE wheels they're not supposed to be rotated! That's one of the items the Stealership used to charge us for on the service sheet along with antenna service. He can easily run 235s on all four corners, keeping the correct tire pressure he shouldn't have wear issues! No he doesn't need a camber kit, just a knowledgeable person doing his alignment!

Whats are OE wheels?
So what you're saying is that I can get 4-235/50/17 tires and an alignment and I should be good? It's mainly because buying the 2 different sizes is costing me way more than getting all 4 the same. And if all the tires and rims are the same, shouldn't you be able to rotate them? Because they're 17's all around

Gary, I know we've gone back n forth about this a couple times, but yes, a lot of these cars need camber kits even at stock height. There are whole websites dedicated to cursing Nissan for the inner tire wear issues on Gs, Zs and gTRs. My car needed a camber kit in stock form. Maybe yours didn't, and I'm glad you got one that was good to go, but a lot of these FM platforms have some crap suspension parts.

Plus, see, he does wanna rotate his tires. Haha

OE mean Original Equipment! One of the best places to buy tires is www.tirerack.com, they sell at wholesale. A set of 4 shouldn't cost you much, all you have to do is pay for shipping and install. Compare that cost with what you can buy the same set in your area, you should be $$ ahead! Good Luck, enjoy the ride...Gary

Also check out Discount Tire Direct, you can often get a Visa card rebate or even two if you use their credit card. The specials will get you around 70 to 120 off a new set, free shipping, then take them in to your local shop for a mount/balance. I've taken them to Wally world before, they mount/balance for 60 bucks, but I have to take them off the car and just take the tire/wheels up there, because if they come close to your car with an impact wrench, they will ream the paint off of every lug nut slot in you wheels. Cheapest way around here I've found. Tire rack is good too, but they don't have the rebates like DTD, or atleast when I'm shopping. Seems the rebates change all the time.

Just got some Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 in 235/45/18 front and 245/45/18 rear. Love the 235 up front, that 225 was just too small to me. Had tread quarters mount and balance, twice as much as wally world, but didn't scratch a thing.
