Hey guys, last weekend my girlfriend was driving my car and the engine overheated and pretty much it is completely done. No compression in all cylinders and the head is cracked.
I have a 2005 G35 rev-up motor and I found a pretty good deal on a 2006 350Z engine 6MT, so I was wondering if they are the same?
If so, would I need to swap any kind of wiring or ECU to make it work?
Please advise.

 

The two engines are identical I believe. The VQ35DE Rev-up. Should be an easy swap.

And I suggest you swap out your gf too LOL

 

That's the same engine you have, easy swap! My only concern would be it's condition and did it have OC issues when in the Z? Your G/F, if she's a "keeper" explain what gauges are for and how important it is that she watches them. After wasting your engine she may never want to drive your G again.
