New to the Forum. Just put a deposit down the following:

'05 G35 Coupe 6MT - Premium Package, Satellite Radio (No Nav, Aero or Spoiler)
The car must be located...

Now the issue is COLOR.
I'm 95% certain I want the ATHENS BLUE w/graphite interior.
I can be 5% swayed into getting DIAMOND GRAPHITE w/graphite interior.

Dealer told me it may be months -if ever- the Blue car comes in with the options I want. (A search for the Athens Blue pulled up nothing on the East Coast??? )...says the Diamond Graphite should be here b4 end of Feb....And says silver would be EZ find.

I have a trade-in that I'm getting good coin for, but I know the longer I wait the more the car will depreciate and then the entire deal won't look so good. I'm thinking of surrendering my trade-in now (I have a spare car to use for the next 4 months) so I get good $$ on the trade. I want to do this so I show I'm serious on my commitment with this dealer (Ramsey Infiniti - NJ) to get the Blue G35.

BUT - Is it possible my Blue G35 will never show? If this happens I guess I'll get the DiamondGraphite, but I REALLY want the Blue. I understand dealers trade with each other all the time..Is it possible this dealer just has a bad trading circle and I should go to another dealer? This has been the best deal thusfar from all the dealerships I've visited. BTW no dealerships had the blue 6MT on the lot - they all said it would have to be located, but I didn't ask if that meant "ordered" or dealer trade.


Does anyone have any info, advice, comments, on dealerships filling an order for a Blue 6MT coupe(Prem pkg, Satellite Radio)?
1) I mean...is it that hard to get? Are they limiting the output and are the options I require that crazy that this order might not be filled?
2) Should I see if other dealerships have a better network and pay a little more $$ if they can get the Blue or is it true that Blue is that hard to get?
3) Will Dealerships take my trade-In up front (and I drive my spare car for a while) and would this help cement the deal?

that makes no sense to me. if you order your car, you can add whatever options you want on the car. i ordered my coupe with exactly the options i wanted and nothing more. it doesn't sound like the dealer is trying to "order" a car for you. but rather, he is just locating it with existing inventories and future stock.

 

I'm not sure whether Athens Blue with graphite interior is a combination Infiniti is willing to build. You should build your car on www.infiniti.com and see whether you can select your combination. If you can, then the dealer is full of it. It should take about 90 days for the car to arrive from Japan. The only caveat is that you will not get as good of a deal as if you took a car in stock.

 

i've seen the ab/g combo in the infiniti web site for southern california dealers, so it is available. just not on the east coast yet???

 

In Canada, you can only get a 6MT with G interior, So, AB/G is on!!! If you can get it here, you certainly can in the US.

5AT's can be had with Wheat or G, no Stone for CA!

and im sure you could trade in your car for the deposit.. I ordered mine the other day will be here in May if not earlier.. check all these dealers..

I call BS on that one!!!!

The if ever response inplies the dealer wants to make a quick sale. Don't fall into their trap. If you want that car call a different dealer. Try one out of your area if need be.
If you get the other color you will regret it and you will always second guess your decision.
