Goodbye G35, Hello Z06
Thanks everyone. The Z06 provides a near-religious experience from 4,000 r.p.m. to 7,000 r.p.m., but the previous owner of mine had installed headers and a Corsa exhaust so it's nearly impossible to enjoy the power without attracting the attention of everyone (including law enforcement) within a mile or two.
I sure do miss the "auto-up" window feature of the G35. There's no realistic way to install that in the Corvette. The interior isn't quite as nice as the G's, but it's not nearly as bad as the car magazines make it out to be.

Seats and gauges?
GM and Ford both make truly garbage interiors. I'm a Chevy fan, so no hate, but its like they just stopped updating in 87 and just kept on with the same crap. Just google image search a 2010 z06 interior. Kinda reminds me of the metra dash kit for our cars.
this. That nsx interior doesn't look so bad now does it lol?
For fit & finish, the Corvette is about 9/10ths what my '04 G35 Coupe is.
I like having a telescoping steering wheel in the Corvette.
Switches are not as cheap feeling as I'd expected, from what I've read in magazine reviews.
Armrests on the doors and center console are a hard, marginally sticky rubber-type material. The rubber material is not really "satisfying" to touch/interact with. It's tough to describe. I've never ridden inside a condom, so I can't write it's exactly like that...but I suspect it's not far from that. I've added an upholstered center console cover for more comfort during longer commutes.
The dash is this huge expanse of the same hard to describe rubber material. That really seems low-rent. It reminds me a bit of a pencil eraser.
The heads-up-display is more useful than I expected.
Given the performance of the car, it's easy to overlook the few relatively minor complaints. As an added bonus, if I get a stain on my shirt, I think I can rub it on the dash to remove it.
I don't have any good interior photos of the Corvette yet, but I'll post some up when I get a chance to take some.
Eye sea.
