Door locks/BCM not working... any ideas? And anyone in MD by chance?

Hey guys,

So I had the notorious door lock actuator issue on my 03 G35 coupe. I tried the $5 actuator fix that most have referred me to on here, and that didn't work.

I took the car into my local Nissan dealership for a electrical diagnostic test and they told me that the BCM isn't outputting enough voltage to the door lock switch. It's supposed to output 12v as it locks, and -12v to open but is only outputting .05

So we've come to the conclusion that the BCM needs to be replaced. I've been looking for BCM's but these things have soooooo many part #'s, I don't know where to begin to purchase one from.

The guy at the Infiniti dealer near me said to take it out first and then go off of that part number so i'll try that next.

My question is, is this an actuator or a BCM issue and how does one know? I've sunk about $200 into this project so far, and i'm not up for spending anymore money on this until know what the deal is.

Any help you can share would be greatful.

And are there any G35 owners in here around the DMV (DC/MD/VA) area?

Many thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice to share on your issue, but to answer your second question, yes there are a bunch of us in the DMV area including myself. What area are you in? Be sure to check out National G Club—we have a sub-forum in the regional section of the forums, but we are much more active on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/officialnationalgclub) and our website (http://www.nationalgclub.com).

We have meets every Monday in Tyson's Corner and Thursday in Rockville, as well as miscellaneous meets throughout the week/weekend. Come out, say hi, and grab a bite with us. We are a club open to all makes and models. You will find that a lot of our members have moved on from owning G's to other cars but we have a bunch of knowledgeable members that can probably help you out. If you'd like to get involved just send me a PM!

Hey I just picked up a g35 for a steal (like no money spent steal) and I'm in DC. Wouldn't mind meeting some new folks as well.
