Angry Idle problem (video)

G35 coupe 5at 2003 after tb cleaning and spark plugs change (ngk 4469) now idle problem. Car starts perfectly, runs great (responds better). It only happens at idle. Any suggestions?

If you cannot see the rpm drop then listen at the engine sound (it cuts power or something and comeback fast)

dude I was having the same issue.. however after TB cleaning the RPM became stable.. but still it stalls randomly and my vdc & slip lights come on

try turning on the A/C.. it somewhat stabilizes the rpm so it dosen't stall (temp. fix)
I also bought one of those 10$ fuel system cleaners that you pour into your gas tank then run your engine for 20 mins and felt some improvement in my idle

Look up the idle relearn steps. Or disconnect the battery for 24hrs to reset the ecu

So I did all the resets, car runs perfectly, idle looks stable but sometimes still does the same thing.

I couldn't get the video to play, but I am curious to see it.

My G occasionally does a bit of a stumble/minor-hiccup when idling in warm weather. It's very minor and wouldn't even get the attention of anyone but the most astute of car enthusiasts who are actually really paying attention.

Might have to try looking into some of these solutions in the spring when she comes out of hibernation.

I can't play the video, but from the brief descriptions sounds like it might possibly be cam or crank sensor starting to go. Mine had issues with idle both times I had to do cam and crank before getting worse (CEL did not come on until the problems got much, much worse). No problems at speed? Do VDC and SLIP come in when it sputters?

If not, you might pull the TB again to make sure you didn't leave anything behind cleaning it, then do the re-learn again. Just my .02. I have no first hand experience with cleaning the TB, but I have seen many, many threads with issues cleaning or replacing the TB.

I just changed the plugs on my car and ran into this problem. Does the ECU reset itself? Do I need to take this to a shop and have the car do an idle learn?

For me it was a dirty coil. Take them out and clean them. Make sure they are connected all the way!
