So I FINALLY got my JDM clear corners. The thing that surprised the hell out of me was how easy it was to swap em out. That also means any punk-*** that walks by my car can easily steal them too. Is there some sort of security measure I can take to make it more difficult for these to be stolen? I don't want to keep replacing these for $50! Thanks!

 

look here this is one sure solution to avoid possible theft. But, they may damage your bumper in trying to force the clear corners out....
I say if they want them, let them take them....its $45-50 that way instead of maybe having to repair/replace your bumper.....

Theft is my greatest concern also. That also happens to be the reason I havent ordered them. Although they look fantastic I would hate to come out and see them stolen.

 

If I were you, I would leave the markers as is... if you **** off
a punk, they could do more damage by prying a screw driver between that
and the metal and just break it out just for the hell of it. If they can't have it,
they'll damage it.

If you park your car in areas that are prone to vandals, that's the risk you have to
take I guess...or just leave them stock.

 

It shouldn't be too hard to hook up a small magnetic switch between the bumper and each clear corner. Wire the switch inline with the hood pin (diode isolate of course) and whenever someone pulls the clear corner out the alarm will go off!

This could have several effects:

1. They get spooked, drop the clear corner and run - you lose nothing

2. They get spooked, DON'T drop the clear corner and run - they rip off your plug (and steal 1 corner)

3. They give you enough time to grab a baseball bat and give chase!

Just some ideas....
