Trunk not opening 4 beeps 07 Coupe

07 Coupe

Just wanted to see if anyone has had this problem before and maybe has a fix or knows what could be broken before I get raped by the dealer, I checked both fuse boxes everything seems to check out. Can't pop the trunk with key fob, button on tail light or the button near the steering wheel. Gives me 4 beeps when I hit the tail light button. I tied a hockey lace to the pull latch and fed it through the back seat to pop it until I take it to the dealer. :confused2:

Check the valet switch in the glove box

Sorry Jersey, but this is the "trunk sliced the negative wires" case. OP lol for trunk not opening fix, if you cat find I'll get you it when I get back at 7 tonight (3.5 hours or so).

What happened is in the trunk-cabin wiring (looking from the open trunk) the trunk sliced some wires open. They won't pop the latch now.

just had the same thing happen to my 05 coupe. opened the trunk, drove to autozone, and trunk wouldn't open. figured it might have been a fuse, but it seems like the wires in the trunk lid is more than likely my culprit. ill be checking on it soon.

and im guessing there is no way to save that rubber hose that encloses all the wires. most of the pics i have seen of it have shown it sliced in half. but aesthetics don't really matter to me as far as the trunk goes. But if i cant get my golf clubs in the trunk we are gonna have a problem

There's no need to cut the rubber. Just pull it back to expose the broken wires. I'm an electrician so I just spliced the wires back together and used a small marrette and lots of electrical tape. The rubber just pushed back over the wires.

I finally got around to it this weekend. Green wire was cut. Thanks for the help everyone.
