I have a 2004 G35 Sedan and the A/C compressor is making a lot of noise when it's operating. I have isolated it to the compressor as the noise stops when you turn the A/C off. There is a shop that rebuilds air compressors here in Houston and they have one rebuilt and ready to go for $235 but they're telling me it's a CWE618 model. When I look on Rockauto, one compressor they list says that CWE618 is for coupes and CWV618 is for sedans. Another brand of compressor has the CWE618 listed for the sedan though, so I'm kind of confused as to whether the CWE618 is the right one for my 2004 Sedan. Does anyone know the differences between compressors and if the CWE618 will work on my car?
