Debagded.. need help Rebadging..

I removed the I N F I N I T I and G 3 5 emblems from my car today and I need some help as what I should do. I ordered the large 350 GT emblem a few weeks ago and decided to put it on later today. I know theres adhesive stuck to it but im not sure how to put it on. Do I just peel off the tape thats over it and press it hard on the car or do I need to do something to prep it? I think the car looks look good with just the Mt. Fuji emblem but they 350GT will look nice since its red.

I think that the emblem won't stick very well if wax is present. The only prep I would do is to strip the wax over the area you want to stick the emblem with dish soap.

I second that, I did it to mine last week, much nicer with just the emblem.

Just wipe down the area you're going to adhere with some dilluted dishsoap.
dry completely, put some masking tape around the perimeter of where you're going
to attach to make your aim easier (use a balance if needed). If your garage is
less than 70F, use a heat gun/hair dryer to get the adhesive and trunk lid
nice and warm, then attach onto the car. Keep dry for 24 hours, then wax
afterwards.

I have been thinking about debading myself, but I want to remove the Infiniti and the giant symbol, and just leave the G35. Is the giant sypbol just held on with sticky tape, or does it have a couple posts? Anyone?? Thanks...

No posts, just double sided tape. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to help w/ the flossing process..........don't use anything to pry it off as it will either scratch or put indentations on the paint.

what happened to the picture with the 350GT? the GT is too low. Don't worry about putting it on, it comes with foam cut to the shape of the trunk.

And for the previous post, G35 = 350GT = skyline. theyre the same car.

I just taped it on my car to look at it, dont know if I wana put it on or not. Do you think the "clean" back looks better or Mt. Fuji and 350 GT emblems?

I debadged the G35 and left everything else, the G35 was difficult to wax around and (to me) gave the trunk an asymmetrical look

Thanks for the pics. I was contemplating debadging. Now I will. I like the Mt. Fugi look without the 350 GT. The center balanced look gets my vote.

If you have a 350GT emblem on your car, it looks silly with a G35 license plate frame
