I wasn't told anything about that. I didn't see a supercharger when I looked under the hood nor did the dealer mention it to me. Plus, I would hope you would get more than 18 hp from a supercharger.

Variable valve timing on the exhaust valves, beefed up internals, and a reprogrammed ecu I believe.

This sounds way more reasonable.

Yeah, I think the supercharger comment was another way of saying "do a search". At least that's how I interpreted it.

Quote from Nissan News:

The 35th Anniversary Z®’s engine has been modified using revised pistons and camshaft and the addition of electronic exhaust valve timing control. The same engine will also be available as standard equipment on the 2005 350Z Track model (6MT only), which also goes on sale in early 2005.

Figured it was a slightly more aggressive camshaft. Maybe a slightly different fuel map also.

NO WAY! Given a 10% power loss in the drive train, which is being extremely conservative, that would mean 333hp at the crank. Given a more realistic 15% loss and you got over 350hp. I don't think Nissan/Infiniti would underrate their vehicles that much.
