Cluster Lights on while car is off

Good Afternoon, Guys/Gals

Needs some help hopefully someone can lend some advice/insight.

I am having issues with my cluster. Example when the car is turned off the e-brake light remains on because its in use if i put the brake down the light goes off. another example I Currently have low washer fluid that light is on. The seat belt light also remains on. I have tried resetting the cars computer via the gas pedal and by disconnecting the battery. no change. Just curious if anyone else has encountered this if so can you recommend a fix.

(keep in mind I'm getting all of this cluster activity while the key is in my pocket)

Thanks Guys and Gals

I would suspect a faulty or loose ignition switch. Can you feel any play when you insert the key in the key hole? Have you tried jiggle-ling the key while in the off position to see if the lights go off or flicker? I suspect your switch is not traveling all the way to the off position. Gain access to the switch and check for security and attachment.

I checked the service manual and could not really find a good picture of the switch, however if it is like many of the Nissan switches I have worked with, it attaches to the key cylinder from behind. Unfortunately I have not had an issue that has lead me to look at it, therefore I don't have specific hands on experience with the G. There are many youtube videos of similar switches, here is a link to a video that shows the removal of the cluster cover. You only need to remove enough to access the back of the switch. The other two links show pictures of the switch, keep in mind the part that I suspect to be loose or faulty is the white part only. BTW, I am not suggesting you buy these, they are just for show and tell. Good luck

Another thing you can try is spray some WD-40 or equivalent lubricant into the cylinder, spray it directly through the key hole and exercise it several times, this might do the trick if it is a sticking cylinder. The lubrication wont hurt the switch because it is a sealed component.
