Service Engine Soon, SLIP, VDC lights on. Help?

While driving the SLIP, VDC, and Service Engine Soon lights all came one. Car seemed to run ok, maybe slightly down on power. When I got to my destination, I turned the car off and let it sit for a minute. When I turned the car back on, the car had a very hard time starting, but finally turned over. Is this my battery going bad? Would a dying battery cause my dash lights to come on? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I'll bet if you go to auto zone and have them read the code, it will say P1078 exhaust cam position sensor. Same thing happened to me. You need to replace it.

Thanks, TexasScout. Do you remember off hand how much the part was and what it costs to install? I would look it up, but I am stuck at work and am in a pinch. Thanks again for any and all assistance!

I think someone said it was around $100. It just a real PITA to change as it's in the back of the motor. You need to get the code read so you know if it's left or right bank.
