Picked up a '05 coupe a couple days ago, saved up and found one with 39k miles. I want to be able to use an aux cord to play music from my phone. What to I need to buy, how much would it cost, and can I install it myself?

you have a few options, 1 - an FM transmitter, not a garbage one though. 2 - cassette to aux. and 3 - get a double din kit with a new head unit. from now on please search before asking a question, as there are quite a few threads on this topic.

That's something like the one I installed on my coupe but I installed the USA Spec pa15 infi. Was literally the first mod I did, couldn't be happier. Allows control of my iPod/iPhone straight from the factory head unit.

 

Do the steering wheel controls work with that as well? I installed a similar adapter but the steering wheel control to advance the track do not work (volume, mode, power all work).

 

Yea unfortunately everything except the track advance doesn't work.
