Weight reduction

I was thinking of removing the backseats from my AT '04 g35 coupe and replacing it with a lightweight compartment that's flush with the front seats to make it a 2 seater but I was wondering if anyone knows how much the backseats weigh so I have an idea on what weight to stay under. Feel free to post the weight of anything else as well

I remember reading the back seat weighs around 36 pounds. Probably not worth it unless you plan on making it a track only car.

Thanks man and I was thinking about maybe adding subs or something to fill up the empty space where the seats were

Haha "weight reduction": replacing 36lbs with 29lbs.

When they did work on my passenger seat, I picked it up and it was fkn heavy. I would imagine replacing fronts with something lighter would save a lot of weight.

Yeah... the fronts are over 80 pounds each. Remember that they have side impact airbags in them though too, as well as a$$ heaters and the motors to move along the tracks.
