I mean I probably just can't sympathize due to the fact that I don't commute to much, as for work I drive maybe 140 miles a week, so I don't see the need as much as others. And I'm sure the gas savings are phenomenal

Yeah, I drive 60mi a day just to work and back, so that's 3 gallons a day in the G or >1 gallon in the insight (not to mention other driving) so, the insight saves me about $8/day in gas, so yeah, it'll literally pay for itself in about 10 months (I got it for $2150), so anything after that will be like I'm getting paid to drive (vs driving the G).

Plus it keeps miles off the G and it's cheaper to maintain/operate - although not much if you can believe that. Because it's so advanced, even by today's standards, a lot of parts are expensive. Tires (very odd size), oil (only 2.6qts!), spark plugs, sensors, etc. are all comparable to the G, except you use less of them.

Anyway, OP, if 2 seats works for you and you don't need to go fast, the insight is as economically sound as you can get. Plus, it's a Honda so these last forever. There's a guy on the forum with 750k miles and still going strong. Replacement engines are only like $400 too. Lol

I baby my G to much and as a 18 year old I really kind of want to just have tons of fun with a car and not have to worry about damaging it.

Anyone got some suggestions?? I wouldn't be modding the engine for reliability costs, so give me some cars with hella reliable engines just like our babies with the VQ
Are you thinking of buying a second car or replace the G?

For a second car, any of the mainstream Japanese used cars will do. Camry/Corolla, Accord/Civic or if you want a little luxury, get a Lexus IS 250/300 or Acura RSX/TL
