G35 coupe 2005-2007 first car

Hey guys I'm getting my license in january I've had my permit for about 6 months. I drive my dads Audi and my moms Lexus and I almost always want to use the paddle shifter or go in sport mode because driving automatic gets boring. So I defiantly want a manual transmission. I was looking at the 350z before but I didn't really like how there was only 2 door. So I found the g35 and l think it's a sick car, and I love the stock exhaust sound. My budget is 8k-9k, my parents said they would pay half so I need to make $4000-$4500. How many miles should be on the car when I buy it used?I drive around 2 miles a day to school, I may drive other places so I'm saying probably 3 miles a day not including weekends. I have an ok job but I don't make a lot of money. So if anything goes wrong With the car that costs under $300 I should be ok, but over that may really screw me. I don't want to spend lots of money repairing the car. Do you think I should buy this car and what should I look for when buying it? And will my insurance be sky high or just a little more expensive? What should I look for when having the car and what should I expect to be putting money in? And is gas expensive for the car? I'm a safe driver I drive safe and know the consequences of getting in an accident so I don't just want this car to drive dumb and fast. These answers will help me a lot. Thanks it means a lot

Don't buy this car. It's not a suitable car for you at the moment given your circumstances.
Get an Acura TL or TSX. Both great cars that won't cause the insurance to sky rocket and will also be good for a long long time

What about a 350z? Are there any other cars like the 350z and the g35 that would be good for me?

God, children are stupid.

Buy the car, kid. You came here for advice, and won't listen unless it's what you wanna hear, so here I am. Buy it. Go have fun.

300hp rwd car driven by someone who just retired his bicycle. Cool. Do us all a favor and stay away from everyone on the road.

Oh oh, I know, you're "mature for your age" and you "get good grades" so the rules of physics and experience don't apply to you. Yeah, man, you'll be Dale Earnhardt right out of the box..we all believe in you, cuz yer a special little snowflake. Gtfo here, kid.

Ogit, although I usually instigate the fun poking I'll keep it real for you.

1. This is a public forum and when you ask for opinions you need to be respectful when you receive them and not argue. If you don't agree with them then politely say "Thanks for your input" and move on. The more harshly you react the worse the blowback is, just ask Scraggle and Jersey. Happens to them in the bedroom every night.
2. Your budget doesn't match the cash necessary to purchase, insure, maintain and have back up cash for emergencies that a G owner needs. With your purchase budget even if you looked at a sedan and not a coupe you'll be buying a high mileage vehicle that will need repairs and maintenance. Those are expensive but if you have the capacity to fix car issues yourself that would be a bonus.
3. Insurance will be expensive for a person your age, that's just a fact not us bashing on you as a youngster.
4. This is the wrong car to learn to drive with, especially a 6 speed. I know that's what you want but at your age wants and needs can get blurry all the time. You need an inexpensive, reliable and safe car to be your first. Will it be as sexy as a G, probably not but that's OK for now. You have your whole life ahead of you to get what you want so be patient. There's a saying: "Good things come to those who wait" that's very insightful and appropriate here.

Good luck with your quest, you've been given good suggestions here. Chew on them, do more research and grow up a bit. Coming off like a spoiled child that b!tches when he doesn't get what he wants is never a good way to make a great impression.

Buy a cheap Japanese manual transmission car, learn to drive, learn to work on it, save your money, buy something faster in a few years

Do not buy an Infiniti for your first car

Buy a Honda Civic 5 speed manual brand new if you can afford it.
Learn how to drive a stick on that first

I'm 18, bought my G as my first car as a present for myself for my 17th birthday. Rule number one of growing up is you can either afford it or can't. If you don't have AT LEAST 700-1000 bucks aside for "car problems" dint do it. I also assume you can't do your own work.

These cars are expensive as fudge. Insurance alone with probs be 300 a month for you. Gas is atrocious, you'll get like 15 a gallon in town, all premium fuel which is cheap for now.

Tires alone are super expensive, even for the less expensive models. I spend 1200 a set or so. And G's eat tires for breakfast lunch and dinner

Also lastly, you will never ever ever respect something you didn't pay for by yourself, buy a nice car for 4-5k and take care of it. Get a better job and grow up a bit more, believe me, you'll thank us all later

Edit: you've been driving 5 months, believe me when I say you are still insanely new to driving. Every one says they are a safe driver. Especially at 15-16 years old.
