Your tires could be at the right pressure but check the date codes on them

If your tires are more than 4-5 years old get rid of them as they become dangerous.

Your exhaust leak will cause you to run lean, resulting in poor gas mileage...fact! All the other members have covered the basics, get that exhaust leak fixed and start using premium fuel! When possible driving on long runs use your cruise control, that alone is worth a few mpg's!
