Rasp

Hi To All The G Enthusiast,

I just wanted to know if anyone have any solutions to stop the rasp sound or reduce it some. Started with install of HFC or is this something that I will have to get use to.... Thanks..

The rasp increase with airflow. The best sound IMO and personal experience was the stock cats with the rest of the car straight piped. It gets rid of the rasp and still has that VQ purr.

Hi Shea03G! Here's the bottom line, the OE exhaust was designed to work best with the factory cats! Releasing all that extra volume by running HFCs has caused the rasp you're referring to. It's like putting 3 lbs of dog poop in a 1 lb can...get the concept? Don't like the rasp, look into a complete aftermarket exhaust system. Check out our Marketplace under Private Classified for a member selling their system in your area! Or you could for a new inexpensive system like Exotic Speed, which a few of our members like!
