Hello yall, I'm lookin forward to orderin a G soon. I need to convince my father to buy me this car as seeing I'm only 17 though. I will be payin for half the car myself though, with all the money I saved during my last 2 years of work and just regular saving up. I need to know a couple things before I ask him to order my coupe.

First of all, what other fees will there be if I'm lookin to order the 6MT w/ just a sunroof? I know that tax, title, and liscense cost about 10% here in California, but is there any other fees?

Second, how much do I need to deposit in order to order the car? Is this a fully refundable deposit? What are the conditions in getting the refund? Like, if I do not have enough money to buy the car when it arrives, as I am on a TIGHT budge, will I be able to get my refund for this reason?

Third, I'm probably gonna have my dad sign it, but since he has only DECENT credit, have one of my relatives co-sign it... will this affect my insurance any? I'm goin to have my insurance under my dad's name, but if my uncle signs, will his name have to be under the insurance as well?

Hi, well i just ordered my coupe, I put down $1000 deposit, my dealer clearly states that it is "fully refundable" if I am not happy for any reason. say the car comes in and I don't like the color, i don't have to take it. Make sure the order paper says that it is refundable, I guess i depends on the dealer, i have read that people get Sh*$ when they want their deposit back because it is no clearly stated.
Yup, MSRP+10% (tax, etc) sounds right. as for insurance, as long as the main person (your dad in this case) signed for the car, he must be on the insurance deed. Co-signer doesn't have to be in the insurance. At least thats what I understand.
