I have a North American Market 2003 Infiniti G35 (same Navigation as the 350Z).
I deployed to Germany with the Army and my G35 is now with me in Germany.

I’ve acquired a used “NAVTEQ Xanavi X6.0 Europe DVD” for Nissan/Infiniti.

My Navigation player accepts the DVD without error but I get a black screen with the RED Vector (for the car) in the middle.

Looking through the settings, the car still reports United States with Canada as an alternative selection. The GPS screen states that all GPS satellites are out-of-range.

Do I need a special setup CD to program the Navigation System to access European satellites? Or is my Navigation System completely useless in Europe even though I have the European Map DVD?

There is a CD that goes along with it too and contains firmware for your region. You might be able to find a .Iso of that on torrent if you look.

I installed a torrent download application.
Can someone "personal message" me with help finding this "firmware CD" torrent?
I would really appreciate the help.. I am so sick of getting lost in Germany with all
the twisty roads..

Can't you just buy a Garmin nav unit that's specific to your region and use that? I get that you have the factory nav and want it functional but to be honest it's a pretty crappy system compared to the more modern other choices out there. Remember you're talking about a system that's been around for 14 years.

I happen to really like the OEM Navigation system.
I think it's superior in function with it's easy to use joystick.
And its not sloppy looking like after market Velcro attached units.

It takes me forever to enter a destination snd you can't enter it while moving. I always use my phone.
My nav is a permanent fuel economy gauge and oil change reminder.

I'm really not interested in debating why I want to keep my
factory navigation.

If there is anyone else out there who can help me track down
the "firmware CD" torrent for making a US Spec G35 Navigation
system work in Germany please send me a "personal message".
I would appreciate it..
