rolling noise at low speed

Hello,
my 2006 G35 (just got it today) has a rolling noise between 20 to 25mph.
Below and above that speed the rolling noise fades.
It comes from the front tires, the noise follows up the tire (left or right I do not know)
spining. One complete spin of the wheel gives one noise.
This is my impression.
The tires are pretty old and not in excellent shape but still usable.
The tire rubber looks little hard. Could this be a reason ?
I'll have to bring it to a tire shop perhaps.

Turn your tires all the way to one side and then get out and look at the inner edge of your tires. They are probably feathered on the inside edge. Turn it the other way and check the other edge as well.

This is a common wear pattern for G35 Coupes because of the aggressive factory alignment. You probably just need new tires.

Is it just tire noise you hear? Or does it have any type of vibrations?

You said, "One complete spin of the wheel gives one noise." So 1 noise per 1 rotation.

That leads me to believe it could be a bad spot in the tire. You may have to even jack it up and rotate the tires around and see if you can see any spot that seems to be worn.

I would follow partyman66's advice on checking the inside tread on the tires. G's wear on the inside due to a more sporty suspension set up.

Rotate the front tires to the rear and see if the noise follows the tires.

I don't think you can... there is a peg and notch in the hub/rims so you can't swap front to rear.... at least on my car with the OEM rims.

Yeah, I forgot about that with the OEM staggered wheels.

front tires are bad and worn, also alignement is gone and there is a nail in the inner edge of one of them. this is what the mechanic told me. Then serpentine belts pulleys are cracked this is the reason of another noise (that I posted in another thread) so pulleys need a replacement. Also serpentine belts are cracked. Transmission fluid never drained and flushed, it looks ugly. Never flushed and replaced radiator coolant fluid. Engine oil is not full synth. IT needs new oil Mobil 1 and filter. Also the wheels needs an alignment.
Total parts plus labor by a competent mechanic is around $1400.
Car has 67000mi and the ***** who had the car before me never did anything to it. All the rest looks good and car is low mile. So I'll spend these money to have it in perfect shape. I will not change the pressure sensors because it is too expensive and I want to drive the car for a while before investing other money.

If you're doing an oil change, you might want to try German Castrol 0W30 instead of Mobil-1. UOA reports from these motors aren't the best with Mobil-1.

my mechanic put Mobil1 and I have to say that the car is really well responsive.
Next time I'll go with Castrol but it's not so easy to find it.

This isn't normal Castrol. It's German Castrol that you can pretty much only get at Advance Auto or if you order it online from Amazon. It only comes in 0W30 and is usually labeled "European Formula", but you need to make sure the one you get says "Made in Germany" on the back and not "Made in USA, not for export".

Glad you figured out what was causing the noise you posted! Everyone has an opinion about what oil is best, I've used several high quality synthetics and always gone back to Mobil1! Starting next week June 1st, COSTCO has it on sale $10= off a case. I intend to buy a couple cases, that quite a savings for quality synthetic!
