SOLVED:Acceleration problems please help

Hey guys I recently just did some mods to my 04 coupe and 1 week later its having a problem. I added HFCs, motordyne 5/16, throttle body spacer, ztube and a magnaflow resonator. They added a bunch of power and worked fine for 5 days. Today on my way to work about 45 minutes away I was pretty much all the way there I gave it almost full throttle getting ahead of someone and it was fine and then right after that I go to press the pedal and noticed the power just wasnt there.

When I hit the gas now full throttle it will start to take off but then around 2-3k it will just stop climbing fast and has no real power. It will keep climbing and I can still get up to speed but it just takes a while. Kind of similar to a dirt bike or something when it has a carb problem and when you first hit the gas it has power but then the air gas mix isnt right and you have to gradually give it more throttle or else it doesnt pick up. Thats as best as I can explain it lol.

I just took everything apart again cleaned the MAF and throttle body and retorqued the plenum as well as the ecu reset and idle air relearn that motordyne says to do and its still the same. It doesnt sound like there is a vacuum leak and i sprayed around with carb cleaner and no change in idle. I know someone here has had this problem what was the solution?

Huh, not sure. Is the check engine light on? It sounds like a limp mode condition.

Nope no check engine light just the ABS and SLIP lights came on temporarily but i turned it off and on and they went away. 0 codes when I brought it to Advance. It revs perfectly fine but when its in gear it has the problem. Maybe its the HFCs?

Nissan and Infiniti dealers should have access to the consult 2 (or similar) diagnostic tools. If they don't charge much, I would head to the dealer and get your car inspected by the professionals who can tell you what the problem is.

SOLVED: So I noticed my brake lights were staying on also. End up being the tiny rubber stopper on the brake pedal. It broke off and was telling my ECU I was hitting the brake and not giving full power when I hit the gas.

Hi Don't Quit Noob... I have the same mods as you on my 03 Coupe and was trying to stop the rasp from the HFC. I have even thought about going back to the OEM. Did the Magnaflow resonator help with the rasp and if so where did you purchase them from? My exhaust is completely stock except for the HFC. Thanks.....

Hey man, I installed the HFCs and the Magnaflow res at the same time so im not sure how its sounds without it but its not raspy just a tiny bit when its not warmed up but then its good. Has a really deep growl once you get above 5k. I got the Magnaflow from ebay $73.69 with free shipping. Is your raspy sound only on low rpms or through the whole powerband?
