G35 Rims.....Help!

I had my car washed today and the place put a nice scratch in my front, driver-side rim (about 2 inches long) and I was wondering if that can be buffed out or do I need to spend the $985 to replace that front rim? It's nothing major but it is noticeable and it irritates me. I have the 10 spoke rims that come standard with the Sport Tuned Suspension package so they look nice and I would like to keep my car looking that way so I was hoping there was a way around having to spend that $985 considering the car cost enough

Thanks,

Christine

depending on the damage it's repairable. is it down to metal, or is it just paint that scratched? or is it Liger bit the crap out of it? it doesn't sound too bad, i'm sure any rim repair or autobody shop can fix. post up pix.

It was a nice place in Newport Beach that washes cars that cost twice what mine did.

A friend at work said I could have it buffed down. Does anyone know how much that usually costs? Worst case scenario is I go through my insurance and HOPE that it doesnt go up too much

WAIT! In about 6 months those wheels will be 4 for $1000. Wait until summer and everyone will be selling them for VOLKS.

Third week I had my '03 my 18" rim got scraped- all 7 spokes- through a car wash. Most important lesson - no car washes when the 18" rims are on. At the time, Infiniti had no recourse but to offer a new rim for $800. Didn't like that choice either. At my last service, found out they have a guy that comes in once a week and re-does rims. Cost me $150. It looks great, though I haven't put my summer tires back on yet to see if it matches the rear one perfectly. Worst case is I have him do the rear one on that same side for another $150. Even if I have to do that, I'm still $500 ahead. Check with your and other infiniti dealers in your area (mine is in Westchester County, New York). They may offer a wheel service.
