I recently picked up an 03 g35 sedan I got it pretty cheap but it had the check light on for misfire on cylinder 1 (coil pack) and p1716 turbine revolution sensor. Ive been reading up on it and cant figure out what to do. Some say replace the TCM others say replace the Transmission itself any guidance would be great.

 

You should have had the vehicle inspected by an Infiniti dealer prior to purchase and deducted the faults from the purchase price.

You can still do that now on your dime.
With a almost fifteen year old vehicle most parts are at or near end of life.

The person selling needed the money and for 700 figured its a good buy. If i cant figure it out I can always part it out its in decent shape and the motor runs awesome and it has the nav system and the leather interior is in good shape also.

Does it drive OK with that P1716 code or is it in limp mode?

 

Nope got the title with it also haha it drives great in gears 1-4 then when its time for it to shift into 5th it just revs higher rpms in 4th so it wont shift into it. when i put it in manual mode it shift 1-4 fine then when i try to go to 5th it just shows "D" on the little screen and wont let me shift manual anymore
