Unhappy Need Help With Motor Swap

So first off this is probably on the forum already so sorry...
My problem is that I have a 2004 g35 5AT and i blew the motor so im putting a new one in!
The motor I got was from a 2004 350z 6MT.
Heres the problem... whenever we try to slide the motor and tranny together one side will go flush and the other side has a one and a half inch gap. We checked and everything is lined up so we are at a loss and have spent two days doing this! One thing I heard from REV is that theres like one year where the manual motor and auto tranny wont go together! ANY INFO WILL HELP A BUTT LOAD!!!! Thank you!!! Also we did the torque converter and stuff correctly and we have the service manual and its absolutely no help!

You can always call a wrecking yard and have them check the parts interchange manual for compatibility. Just try not to bother them with "zero money questions" while they're busy. If you catch them during the slow part of the day I'm sure they'll help.
