Chirping in Passenger vent

Hey
I have an annoying chirping/squeaking noise coming from my passenger side vent. It only makes the noise at 65mph+.

Any one else have this problem or is a way to get into the vent to see whats causing this??

Thanks in advance.

There's lots of posts about dash chirping that seem to be caused by different things. The most common ones i read about seemed to be the battery hold down clamp, the rear view mirror wire trim piece and the windshield exterior plastic trim thing. None of these stopped my chirp. So if you find yours, please post an update because mine drives me crazy. It also only seems to happen at high speed but for me I think that's because I have a slight wheel balance problem that I prefer to live with rather than let anybody touch my refinished wheels.

i replaced my battery yesterday so the battery tie down is tight. That did not solve it. Mine is def coming from the passenger side vent inside somewhere. Ill check the cabin air filter.

Probably some leaves or other debris caught in the cabin air filter and making a whistling noise when air is forced through it at speed. Does it do it if you turn your interior fans up to high speed with the mode set to vent?

cabin filter?

Cabin filter sounds like an easy one to check. I replaced mine a few years ago and now it whistles when I turn on fan at fan speed 4+. I don't usually turn on my fan that strong so not an issue, but every once in a while I do and it sounds faintly like squeaking brakes. (enough so that I have to force myself to remember that it's the fan).

Been too lazy to fix it.

NJzfinestG, did you discover why you had noises coming from your vent? Did your cabin filter reveal a nest of birds?

Were you able to figure out where the sound was coming from?
