Is it possible to replace the button on the door handle or do I need to get the entire handle assembly? Does Nissan still make these pre-painted? I have a 06 Lakeshore Slate coupe.

Aaaaaaaand I now see you are talking about the button, not the escutcheon. The mention of the paint color threw me. I don't know if the button can be had separately or if you have to buy the whole assembly. I'd check the Factory Service Manual and also infinitipartsdeal.com parts diagrams to try to tease out the answer. You can download the 2006 FSM at nicoclub.com. Keep all the files in the same folder, and start with the fwd.pdf file, which has the table of contents and clickable links to the chapter you need.

 

The door handle is sold as a whole. The wire for the button is run through the handle and into your door. And yes, they do come in different colors to match the paint code.

 

Thanks man! Does anyone have a part # for Lakeshore slate drivers door handle with the button. Still new over here. Btw whats with the weird verbiage on describing colours, escutcheon? LOL
