Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsG35 Went darkI have a 2003 G35. At a traffic light, the car stopped and went dark. Nothing responded to the ignition, lights, starter or dash. About thirty minutes later, I noticed the security light blinking so tried starting and it started right up. No code was thrown. Service department at dealer said camshaft sensor but after I talked with them, they agreed it could not be that as it cut all electrical to the car. Any thoughts on where and how to look as the car is fine since that event. Thanks for any help I can get.

 

Start with the battery, clean up the terminals, clean the wire (both ends), test the battery, bolt it all back together and use anti-oxidation grease on the parts that make contact.

 

I'll take this one step further. In my case my 04 X dashboard went dark but the car kept running. I pulled over.. stopped and restarted the car and the dash lights were fine. Sounds like a connection problem somewhere but not sure where to look. guidance would be appreciated.

 

Also, search for grounding points/clean em' up, grease, and tighten them back down.
