I agree with you on the T1S, great tires, but give it a few thousand miles, you will start to hear that "droning" sound on braking like me! I do not agree with you on the rear 245? Do you suggest to run 245's front and rear? The whole reason the setup works well is beacause the G35 has quite a bit of understeer due to the small front tires and being that the car is front biased. Going with the 245 in the front significantly reduces the understeer and going to a 255 in the rear increases the contact patch which is a good thing on a RWD car! The difference with the rear 255 vs stock 245 is 1.3% which in NO WAY will effect the VDC and that is the main concern! So why would you go with a smaller tire?

NICE choice in rims by the way.......post some pics of your car in the gallery!

You are a bit more limited because your rims are 7.5" wide as opposed to 8" on the 18's. I have not researched the 17's much, but after a few tire size calculations, I would guess that you are limited to the following:

235/50/17 fronts
245/50/17 rears. This nets a 1.5% increase change which will not effect the VDC at all. With that change when your speedo reads 60mph, you will actually be traveling 60.9mph

Good luck

Thanks roadracer516! There are some posted in the gallery. There are some in: https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...t=18400&page=2

I was thinking that she could do 235 front and 245 back. Mostly just staying with regular numbers. She did mention that she didn't know if she will be keeping the car for long also. I know the difference is probably chump change, but hey, that savings can be used to buy something else for the G! Darn! I'm going to hear noise in a couple thousands miles!? Eh...I'll just get a sound system to get rid of the noise!!!

Laser Red......NICE, your setup looks GREAT! In the above case, just buy used stock sizes, why bother with upgrading if you are just selling the car?

Thanks, helped a lot. I'm also considering buying some 19s for summer use (which will allow for wider tire setup) and just keeping my 17s with snow tires for the winter, since we get snowed on in the winter here.

I found that the stock 19's on the 05 g35 come with 225/40/19 Y rated front and 245/40/19 Y rated rear. Would have thought Infiniti would have made the tires wider with the new "sport tuned suspension package." Too bad, i really like the style of the new stock wheels, I just wish they were wider.

I asked the guy if he was sure that it was okay and he turned his computer screen towards me and low and behold 245/275 was listed as a plus size option. Anyone tried this setup? If its safely possible to do this I'm thinking Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S tires.
Thats ok to do.
