Rock chips / poor paint quality
Hey guys ..I've had my Laser Red '03 for 4 months now and noticed alot of white dots ( figuring it must be the primer ) on the bumper and especially the hood.. I drive around smooth roads and have never noticed anything hitting the front of the car ! I've heard rumors that Nissan did a crappy job with the G35 's paint job...has anyone gone back to the dealers to complain about it ? I'm thinking of going to my nearest Infiniti ( Lockey in Clearwater Fl ) .. I'd appreciate any tips or feedback ! thank you !

Bringing it back to the dealer will not do anything as it would be considered "wear and tear." This type of paint issue is not just and infiniti / nissan issue. It's a problem across the board. Even Mercedes nano-tech paint is still chipping from the cars we work on a daily basis. We've seen it all........whether it's Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, etc........they all have this issue.
There are a few solutions.........coming from me of course, would be a clear bra recommendation. You could also opt for a leather bra or just keep a fair distance from you and the vehicles in front.

its not the quality of the paint, its how/where you drive. If you drive on the freeway alot, then your likely to get alot of chips since there are tons of rocks flying up from people's tires. If your the type of driver that tails people alot, then you'll get even more chips. Thats exactly why i got a clear bra--its the only way to prevent it unless you drive far from the cars in front of you.
