photochop! someone mentioned convincing evidence that infiniti would never create a convertible g35 (unlike with the 350z). i forgot who said it exactly, but you'd think that if there were one planned that it would have already been announced after all this time.

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/46500-g35-convertible.html ....... old news?? yeah from yesterday. also it floated around about uhh 2 years ago? i do remember that ones person talkin about how they couldnt make a g convertable because of something not workin or eh i cant remember. the doors were too big ? top had no where to go? ne one remember?
The top had nowhere to go? That only makes sense if you believe that a car company simply eliminates the solid roof of the existing design and attaches a rag top. There is a difference between can't make a convertible model of the G35 and won't make a convertible model of the G35. The most likely reason that there is not a G35 Coupe convertible is the aesthetics. Look at the 350Z Roadster. Place a Z Roadster next to a standard 350Z and you see the drastic change in aesthetics with the top of the convertible up. Put the top down and the two vehicles look very much alike. The lines from standard G35 Coupe to a convertible model would most likely change to the point that Nissan decided not to go with any proposed designs...yet. That, and a convertible top needing to reach comfortably over the rear seats would look horrid. Another possible reason is: where would the G35 Coupe Convertible be placed in the line-up? Nissan has it's four popular vehicles: a sport car, a 2-seater sport convertible, a 2+2 coupe, and a sport sedan. Unless Nissan feels they need a 2+2 convertible flying the Infiniti flag, the car is simply unnecessary. Remove the G35 Coupe's rear seat and now you've truly got an extraneous model. Now, an M45 convertible, that makes much more sense. Different price point, different market.
