How long do you plan on keeping your G?

I drove my last car, a '98 Accord Coupe EX-V6, for 5 years (92k miles) and plan to keep my G coupe at least that long (unless, in the unlikely event, that I could actually afford the new GT-R). I've had it for 16 months now and I probably love it more than when I first got it.
I'm curious about how long people on these boards plan on keeping their G.

i'll drive her into the ground! i really dont see any reason why i would ever get rid of my G - she's the first car i purchased and my first love i would love to get 100k+ miles out of my G, which i dont think will be a problem.

Probably a while.

At this rate, I have had the car only two and a half weeks, and have 1100 miles on it Thats not good.

Not to sure... I've never really had a car more than 2 years... But the G seems to be a keeper...

Two years tops probably. I've lost count of the warranty repairs and the trips to the dealer to try and fix the Blose stereo. I'd sell it today if I wasn't so upside down on my loan. I'm looking to get an Acura TL next. Ideally, I'd keep my car 4+ years, but the G35 has been too much a headache to keep tip top, and most likely will be gone in another year.

I'll keep my G as long as possible. It will almost certainly be the most beautiful car I'll ever own.

Probably about 4-5 years. Sell it and buy the new style. Like they said above maybe one of the cars coming in 2007

2-3 more years, then it goes out to the side of the house to start it's life as a race car...motor build, cage, the works...it will be replaced with a GT-R...if possible.

until it breaks down like my old car which was 14 years old and had a 135k miles on it. RIP

na i'm j/k, i'm not gonna let it break down. i think 7-10 years is good.

Im keeping mine for another 5-6years. Here's my plan with my cars..

2 more years on the Cooper-S and Civic (my commuter) and get a new TL
for my commute.

Then save up 2 years from there to sell the new Corolla my wife drives now
and get her a new Odyesse or whatever she wants around $30K.

Then save up the last year or so to get me the next M3 or Vette
new to replace my G35C.

Always, I don't put many miles on it. 7k for about a year and half now. I'm going to hook it up come college, but when I start working I'll need more space so ill pick up a used fx45 or a new fx35... Then when I get some real money I'll get a '97 Yellow Twin Turbo 911

But I'm keepin the G for sure, My first and will always be my favorite

Till I see something I like better. Till then, my son will be driving this G, and he is 7 mouths right now.

I plan on keeping my G somewhere between 3 to 4 years, right around the time the warranty runs out. Then I'll be a fully licensed anesthesiologist pulling down around 400K per year at age 30. I'm planning on buying either an M5 or an M6 for myself at that time & a Range Rover or X5 for my wife. Studying pays off my friends.
