Low beam replacement.

Hey guys. My low beam is getting dull after 15 years now. I know our 2004 G35C uses D2S for low beam. I am wondering should I replace it with LEDs or I better off just buy HID replacement bulbs?

Any thought is appreciated.

It's made for HID and a good quality HID bulb is best for this application.

Besides what the marketing says, LED is not an upgrade in most vehicles. HID is still king. Led doesn't even save that much wattage... for whatever that's worth.

Highly recommend Phillips bulbs when replacing if you want OE quality. If you want to be a bit cheaper and more blue/white, Morimoto / CNLight are great.

Unless you have the projector headlights than you’ll be looking for D2R bulbs, not D2S. I have the Morimoto 5500k D2R Bulbs in my 03 Coupe and Ive been really happy with them. Going on 2 years now.

i got these ones off AliExpress for like $15. They are 5500k I think but they are not any brighter than my 15 years old OEM bulbs that got replaced. Did yours got brighter after you replaced them?

There is a major difference between cheaply produced bulbs and quality ones. You have 4300K stock bulbs and a 5500K should be noticeable brighter with pure white light with no yellow tint at all. If the new bulbs don't make a big difference either that set of bulbs is bad or that brand just sucks. Did you do any research on the bulbs before you bought them like read reviews etc?
