Valve cover gaskets

Next week I'm planning to change my valve cover gaskets because they are leaking. What brand gaskets do you guys recommend? And what do you recommend if I have any leaks on the spark plug gaskets? I don't want to get oem and spend all that money. I've seen some valve covers on Amazon but I was wondering if I change the bottom gasket and I add some silicone gasket on the spark plug seals if that would work.

If you are leaking in the spark plugs (good chance you are but you may want to check first) just get https://conceptzperformance.com/niss...10_p_28857.php and call it a day. You will read about people using a drill to try and drill out the plug gaskets and it seems like nothing but a headache and you will only save maybe 200 if you are lucky. Just do it right and call it a day. And buying amazon. ebay junk never works well in the end.

Just my 2 cents.

04 G35 Sedan performance package. 70k Eibach springs and sway bars. 19 inch wheels. Plenum spacer.
I initially was going to do the hole saw repair. Instead I bought a set of cheap valve covers and replaced the crap gasket that comes with the cheap valve cover with a Gates gasket. Cleaned the head surface with brake parts cleaner. Added a little pernatex gasket maker to the spark plug cavity seals. Been 3 months and so far so good.

I want to do something like this because this is not a moving part so I don't want to spend too much money I also don't want to do it again. Has anyone else done this?

I have about 15k on mine with zero issues.

EDIT: Oops, mine are drilled out with replacement spark plug well seals and permatex gasket on the OEM valve covers.

I THINK they were the Fel-Pro ones, a friend who works as a parts distributor for Kenwood ordered them and they came in a nondescript cardboard box so I don't have numbers on them. They are smaller outer diameter than the OEM ones so you have to fill the gap with Permatex Ultra Grey and they were a VERY snug fit on the spark plug tubes.
