hey guys so I ordered myself some HAWK HP Brake pads. They came in the mail today and I went straight to the mechanic. My mechanic then told me my brake calipers take only high performance brake pads. I’m having trouble finding high performance brake pads and would appreciate a link or two pls. I own a 04 g35 coupe.

 

Do you have Brembo calipers? If so you might have ordered non-Brembo pads.

Hawk SHOULD have products specifically for the G35/350Z platform. Might have to contact them directly though.

 

No, I don’t have Brembo calipers. The ones I have are aftermarket (bought the car with them on) and they don’t seem to have the brand name on them either.

 

There are:
Brembo
Akebono
Non Brembo.

Did you check HAWKs website?

 

Yes I called hawk yesterday and they were kind enough to show me which ones to get thanks for all the advice tho!

 

Apparently your main issue was you didn't know what kind of brakes you had, did you get that solved? How do you order pads (over the phone) if you aren't sure what system you have? This is kinda like ordering wheels and not knowing what you're driving! Hope the pads fit!
