Leaking coolant from driver side of the engine block, makes metal scratching sounds coming from what seems like the timing chain, engine still runs strong, clutch still grabs strong, everything still fine just leaking coolant pretty bad, how much would junkyard take it for without brake calipers as they are brembos and i am planning on taking them off to sell

Are you sure it's not the weep hole from the water pump? The bearings inside can go bad and that's what happened to me and I changed it myself, but it's a pretty involved process.

Junkyard will give you whatever the going rate of shred steel currently is minus about 10%. That market fluctuates a lot so just call and ask what their current rate is. What year is it?

Keep with this idea of stripping off the good parts like the Brembos. Headlamps and interior bits can be quite valuable on eBay. Look to sell locally (or trade) the wheels and tires if decent. Then sell the shell for scrap.

It's a 2004, poured water into radiator and it already started leaking from the driver side of the block again, engine turns on fine but makes a terrible metallic scratching sound silimar to a bad throwout bearing lol, hoping my block or head isn't cracked and i can still drive it for a while longer, was driving around for about 2 hours and everything seemed fine til i was close back to home

I wouldn't panic and chuck a whole car until I got a better look at what might be wrong.
yourmechanic.com can have someone come to your place for $80 and give you a diagnosis or, If you have a competent mechanic friend, have them take a look at it.

I'll jack it up and record a video as i pour water into the radiator so we can see where it is leaking from, thanks everyone

I'm new to this car in many ways; so I don't know what I am looking at and where it is.
It looks like it is on the head above the headers?? dunno..
I'm just going to listen in at this point.

But..can you get a picture of the actual puncture/gash?
I was hoping it was a freeze plug or block aux sensor screw...

Its not a puncture or gash, it's just a tiny space in between the timing chain cover and block below the headers, can't pinpoint exactly where it is coming from

ok..well I am no expert on this motor...but I believe that there is a timing chain driven water pump behind the timing cover.
It may even be behind one of those smaller inspection/access plates on the timing cover itself...if there are any..not sure..

imho that needs to be looked at.
There are diy vids on youtube on how to replace it..

Im in the process of removing the water pump but i can't remove the ****in covers lmao they are stuck on there hella good, how the hell is this **** supposed to be removed?? Lol

Are you just taking off the small covers?
The whole timing cover comes of after removing all the belts, pullies, tensioners and crank pulley...

gasket sealer..there is a tool to break the seal and track your way around the cover seal ..dont mar the surfaces with a screwdriver!!..dont pry on them...dont use a utility knife either..

Yeah just the small covers, don't need to take off the whole timing chain cover

I use a gasket cutter for anything that's stuck.
