My wife's G35 does this now and again too, but only when I get on it from a stop or coasting slowly and not every time.
It just started after I put in a new radiator, all hoses and automatic transmission cooler.
Other than some doom and gloom about the transmission going out, I read a post or two that said to check the transmission fluid level while in neutral.
It is on my list of things to do.

I used Castol Transmax Multi Vehicle ATF.

Sorry I can't help more.

You should only use nissan oem fluid in these transmissions. I get that other fluids say that they are compatible but you do you wanna risk spending 3k on a new trans just to save 20 bucks?

well plenty of folks in this forum use the castrol atf with good results. There are even some posts claiming that matic s is actually castrol atf. so...yes.

It's got 2 doors 😂
Best case scenario its low on tranny fluid or a sensor on tranny has went bad, worst case scenario tranny is shot. I recommend taking it to a reputable transmission shop for a diagnosis instead of throwing parts at it or damaging it further. Stay away from the stealerships.

It might be manufactured by Castrol but it's definitely not just off the shelf same old Castrol. Normally the manufacturer will sub out work like fluids to another specialty company who makes it to the exact chemistry the manufacturer wants.

Too many cases of other fluids causing issues that I personally wouldn't mess around with anything other than Matic J/S.
