Suspension wobble after coilover install
Suspension wobble after coilover install
Hey guys so I’ve been working on my car all winter and I did a few mods including, bcracingbr coilovers, z1 fully adjustable suspension, brembo swap, 32mm spacer front, 10mm rear!
I took it out for the first drive and noticed it wobbled very bad it almost felt it was gliding, so I checked the lugnuts and they were fine.. my car is pretty slammed/low and their is quite a bit of camber on the front the rears are extremely “toed inwards” it sways back and forth when I hit bumps it almost feels like my wheels are going to fall off could this have anything to do with preload? I’m running a non true coil over setup thanks! Aswell I haven’t got an alignment yet but it shouldn’t wobble this bad where is follows every bump I feel like a hover craft..

It's pretty much an alignment issue - the question being whether you now have enough adjustment in it to make it right. The rear toe is probably what you are feeling, a lot of positive camber in the rear can also feel like you are driving on very thin strips of tire contact patch. You will need to find a shop that can deal with a modified suspension setup, your normal mom & pop stores aren't usually setup to deal with it.

Okay thanks man hopefully that will fix it I’m gonna raise it about an inch all the way around!
