Spring 2020 Mods - log / photo gallery
I often regretted not having a log or historical timeline of other projects, so this time Im going to use this thread to post pics of my progress (which will act as photo album after the fact), and hopefully get some advice at same time that I'm sure Ill need as I go along...
Suspension shop near me is about to re-open, so finally going to get the lowering / suspension mods going, as well as a few other odds and ends.
Mods on Menu:
Lowering 1" - HR Sports on KYB
Hotchkiss sways
Kinetix Front A arms and rear bars
Stainless Steel brake hoses
5/16 plenum spacer
Drivers side engine cover (battery cover)
OEM grille (original owner painted stock one, looks like garbage)
19" Fast Trident wheels (New old stock, smoking deal from wheel shop that folded)

ran into first snag... any tricks for getting front shocks removed without removing lower control arm? My manual says to just unbolt bottom and top bolts then remove, but I cant seem to get it out (or compressed enough to clear lower arm)
Any insight would be appreciated

Did some fishing over the weekend but started back on it Monday eve.
Rear is almost done, was fun getting the torsion bars on / off, and must have sworn 20 times trying to fish out the original rear swaybay...cant wait for the re-install... passenger rear corner is last to go then rear sway can go in...
No real issues so far, aside from sticky bushings making it seem torsion bars and lower control arms were spring loaded... Was happy to see was no interior disassembly to access rear shock mounts, although I can see it being a nightmare once that hardware rusts for those that drive in winter conditions (had to access rear shock mounts via rear decklid in my old car)...
Also need to swap out the brake hoses for stainless lines, then its grille and plenum spacer time (but may get it in alignment shop before i do the spacer etc).
