3.5l v6 g35 coupe m/t

3.5l v6 cold air intake

installed a DC racing cold air intake (believe thats the brand) and when im on the pedal closer to 5000 rpms it cuts power then gets on it again any suggestions or knowledge on why its doing this ?

Pull and inspect spark plugs, check for vacuum leaks.
