Build a G or buy something new?
Always been a fan of modifying the G35 to be a fun street car and weekend warrior. But with how advanced cars are today is it even worth sinking all that dough into one?
If not the G, I might get a 2023 Z (order guideis out now) or 2020+ Supra but I'm not 100% on either one just yet.
Has anyone considered this?

That's a question only you can answer, it really depends on EXACTLY what you want out of the car.
Building a new platform is fun but VERY expensive, you're mostly dealing with powertrain/suspension upgrades and little to no repairs, but you're paying a premium on brand new performance parts and almost zero used parts market.
Building an old platform is much less expensive (comparatively speaking because of the cost of the vehicle) you're dealing with a lot of repairs along with your upgrades but there is usually a plentiful aftermarket of parts plus a healthy used parts market.
