Hey Guys, I just installed the Kuruma Z Rear Bumper on my 03 G35 Coupe. Its Polyurethane, so its super flexible, so if you look closely at the pic, you will see the lower center of the bumper just hanging. Do you guys have any pics of how you mount the bottom center part of this bumper?

 

Damn did that get caught on something while driving??


But anyway, can you install some kinda reinforcing bar or plater from the inside to hold it all straight?

 

That's always the tradeoff with fiberglass vs. poly.

Fiberglass is MUCH more rigid, but it cracks when you hit stuff.

Poly is MUCH more durable but it's floppy and you need to rivet on aluminum reinforcing bars everywhere (or epoxy them on).

 

Yea, thats why the center is hanging because its Polyurethane. You should see the small box they shipped it in, lol. But there's 2 brackets that are attached to the bumper support that holds the lower left and right sides of the bumper, I'll try to get one more of those brackets from the junk yard and mount it in the center to hold the cent of the bumper.
