Looking for help finding APS tall boy plenum bolts

Hello everyone ..

I recently bought a APS tall boy plenum from offer up.. paid $50 dollars for it 😆
The only issue I have is that it didn’t come with hardware.

do any of you guys know where I could find some or what size they are so I could source some at a hardware store etc ..

thanks in advance .

Strongly doubt you're going to find actual APS OEM hardware.

Probably just M4 or M6 fine thread pitch. Get a couple bolts from your local hardware store to verify thread pitch, or find another bolt on the engine that fits those holes then take it down to your hardware store to verify thread pitch. Then measure depth of the outer holes, thickness of the flange (basically set the plenum back on the lower then use a paperclip or some wire and stick it in the hole until it bottoms out then fold the paperclip over, now you have depth, subtract a 2-3 mil (1/8 inch)).

Get grade 4.8 or 5.8 bolts for the outer, flanged bolts are easier since you don't need to use flat washers for them. Use allthread for the middle, screw it in, use a sharpie to measure where to cut. Hacksaw or portaband to cut them to length and use a GASKETED flat washer and nut for those.

thank you for this!! I’ll definitely give this a try. From what I was told from someone who previously had an APS plenum, was that the outer bolts are the same as the oem ones. So it’ll just be sourcing the longer ones

If you end up using stainless steel allthread make sure to put some kind of anti-seize on the threads where they thread into the aluminum of the lower plenum and on the nut at the top just to prevent any future issues of removing it.
