So the G has been acting up lately, I wasn’t able to move from a stop, and If I was I had slow acceleration while trying to move from the stop , like If i was in a higher gear starting from the stop. Went down to autozone for the scanner they have, it read “Input clutch solenoid circuit”.
So I did my research, found many people having issues with the solenoids in the valve
body TCM thingy ma bob. A lot of people said that usually when that happens it’s time for a new one, Also that it could be a broken connection and youll probably have to solder it. Thank the gods it wasn’t a broken connection, I’d figured it wasn’t because the car would still downshift and upshift while it being in a kind of limp mode like it was fighting the mode, Also it wasn’t a full time thing It would go away the next day until I drove it again.

To skip past everything I dropped down the tcm/valvebody bought this part from autozone

replaced it with the new one , filled the transmission back up. Boom *starter noises* Drove her around, she drove pretty decent after I didn’t get put into a limp mode. If anything happens I’ll keep you guys updated.


UPDATE *Still no issues* 2/28

 

So I recently replaced mine too after the car drove perfect shifted fine then it started slipping again the next day and when I’m going from a stop the engine just revs and the car barely moves so I’m not sure where to go from here

 

Did you check for codes? After replacing.

 

no I didn't I cleared my trans and check engine codes but ill check again no lights are on

 

Hmm yea check to see if any codes are thrown, It could be your valve body. Did you check the connection and wiring inside the TCM.

 

yeah all that is wired up correctly but I just put more fluid in it and its driving fine again so I'm gonna assume it was just low but ill keep you updated these cars are so interesting lol

 

wait I can’t read you replaced the the whole valve body or solenoids

I almost wanna give up on this car *facepalm* so I got my shifter linkage adjusted car stopped slipping just doesn’t register park but it’ll slip sometimes if I’m driving it’ll just rev to redline I replaced my shifter as well nothing changed so I’m out of ideas

 

Sounds like it needs a transmission rebuild if its slipping.

 

No codes or anything?
