DELsol vs. G35 coupe

What's up everyone with a G!

I'm still in High school and there is that one Del sol driver, that pisses me off all the time, he is getting a V-Tec from JAPAN in his car. And guess what he wants to race my brother. He said his car is way lighter, which is true but a...... Honda?

What's your opinion? & what should I tell him honestley.

Thx G-UNIT

Re: DELsol vs. G35 coupe

If he’s getting a NA V-tec engine he still won’t even come close to the G, unless it’s some kind of spoon engine than maybe he has something there.

Actually a del sol is heavier than a regular civic, the only way he could beat the coupe is with an H22 JDM spec...that would be a 13.7-13.8 car with everything else stock but he probably won't be doing that.

Yeah, but watch out come high speed corners...

As a previous DelSol Driver, that thing puts ago-kart to shame when it comes to cornering... but it was still a del sol... :-(

"VTEC"
Variable valve Timing and lift Electronic Control
Because "VVTLEC" doesn't roll off the tongue.

The VQ35 has it too, it just doesn't have a fancy acronym for it.

Re: DELsol vs. G35 coupe

You can't knock a vtec too hard since our cars have them too. Plus if it werent for vtec hondas would have absolutly no power. The S2000 is a serious machine and it's all because of the vtec motor. however when you see a mustang with a vtec badge on it feel free to knock it all you want. Oh yeah and I guess crap a$$ civics that got the sticker can be knocked too. Or just blown away, actually that would be a serious aste of gas.

Re: DELsol vs. G35 coupe

I don't know what my friends Del Sol has in it but when he took it out 3 weeks ago he put one of my buds in a new 350z to shame... I don't wanna race his Del Sol when he takes it out...lol Damn now that's embarrasing hehehe... I know it was a engine swap that he ordered from Japan... That's all i know... All motor, no turbo charge or nothing... Inside it's fully modefied... Intake, header's, exhaust was a few things I've heard him mention to other's... Other then that his little Del Sol is a killer... Ugly has HELL but pack's a punch hehehe..

Re: DELsol vs. G35 coupe

I went from a Del Sol Si (modded quite a bit) to my G coupe. There is absolutely no comparison as far as acceleration and power goes. Wih heavy modifications, a Yugo could be made to outrun the G, but what's the point? Some people just like to go fast; others like to go fast in style. I will say one thing about the Del Sol; re the handling comment above. It really does put a go cart to shame, especially with modifies suspension. That's something I'm having to get used to going over to the G; it handles very well, but in a different way. You are very aware of the mass of the car in the corners; not so in the Del Sol. If your buddy's car is as heavily modded as you say, I wouldn't race him either. I wouldn't worry about it thogh, you'll get all the chicks.
